The Apama Event Processing Blog Hits the 10,000 Unique Visitor Mark

"In God we Trust;  everyone else, bring data" is my new favorite saying:  three months ago we started the Apama event processing blog as an experiment, to see if there is sufficient interest in complex event processing (CEP) to justify the time it takes to write almost every day (John Bates, Mark Spiteri, Richard Bentley, and our team have written almost 100 posts in that short time, most of them pretty significant articles in and of themselves), covering CEP, standards, algorithmic trading, and the relationship between EDA and SOA.   This week, we'll pass the 10,000 UNIQUE user mark for this blog alone.

Since we launched the Apama blog, the number of mentions and tags for CEP has gone from almost none to many - three other CEP blogs have been created, each with their own perspective:  Tim Bass and Allan Lundberg at TIBCO have launched a blog with high-quality content, technical discussions, and use cases.  Here's a link to the TIBCO CEP blog.  Coral8's Mark Tsimelzon has also published some good, solid thinking in their blog on CEP as well, with consideration of SQL as an option for CEP, etc.  StreamBase has published a blog as well - but unfortunately it's more of a marketing blog - Stonebraker and the other academics there haven't been posting, it's been mostly marketing stuff.

Complexevents.com, David Luckham's site and blog, continues to be a great resource - David is always very thought provoking!

So thanks for tuning into this blog station.  We'll try to continue to keep it fresh and interesting and earn the right of you reading about the new developments on the CEP front.
